Take Cover (War Front) Wins PA Governor’s Cup

Take Cover, by Claiborne’s internationally acclaimed sire WAR FRONT, brought home the $150,000 Pennsylvania Governor’s Cup June 4th. It was his third victory in a row and first in stakes company.

After stalking the pace, the Alan Goldberg trained Take Cover, made his move at the quarter pole, going wide and surging home for the 1 1/2 length victory. He covered the 5 furlongs in :56 flat on a firm turf course.

Owned by Colt’s Neck Stables, Take Cover was bred in Kentucky by Padua Stables.
