Shes Bout a Mover Easy Winner For MASTERY

Shes Bout a Mover gave MASTERY an impressive winner at Los Alamitos Race Course on Friday with a 2 ½ length gate-to-wire victory.

Making her debut for James Doug Branham and trainer Simon Callaghan, Shes Bout a Mover was the fastest out of the gate in the 5 ½ furlong race and immediately took the lead.

The MASTERY filly felt pressure throughout the race by the race favorite as the rest of the field watched the battle behind them. As they entered the final quarter, Shes Bout a Mover started to pull away and the filly was set to be a clear winner. She only felt one tap of the whip as she galloped him well in hand under Juan Hernandez.

A $365,000 short yearling purchase by Andre Lynch from the Royal Oak Farm consignment at the Keeneland January Sale, the filly was bred by The Neuman Group in Kentucky.

Shes Bout a Mover is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Nereid, who is also the dam of Figarella’s Queen. Also among Shes Bout a Mover’s five winning siblings is stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Sea Queen.

Their four-time winning dam Dowry is a three-quarter sister to Grade 3 winner Belong to Sea, who is also the granddam of stakes winner Catch a Bid. Belong to Sea is a half-sister to Dowry’s dam Sea Jamie Win, who produced four stakes performers and two stakes producers from nine winners.

Shes Bout a Mover is the third winner for MASTERY, whose daughter Up Her Sleeve is entered in Saturday’s Our Dear Peggy Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
