RUNHAPPY’s Happy Medium Flies In Belmont Allowance
It was another impressive winner for RUNHAPPY on Saturday when Happy Medium won a Belmont Park Allowance by five lengths.
Looking for his second straight victory in three starts, Happy Medium pored on the pressure soon after the gates opened in the six furlong race before taking command in the turn.
Manny Franco asked him to continue his work in the stretch and the gelding merrily built up his margin before eased down just before the wire.
Trained by Michelle Nevin for Jay Em Ess Stable, the $300,000 Keeneland September graduate was bred by Colts Neck Stable out of stakes producing Well Spring.
Well Spring’s other runners include the multiple graded stakes winner Mendip and stakes winner Dig Deep in addition to the Grade 2-placed Paddle Board.
The gelding is also a grandson of two-time Grade 1 winner Chaposa Springs, who is out of the dual Grade 1 winner La Chaposa.
