RACHEL’S TEMPER emerged victorious in her stakes debut, becoming the 9th stakes winner of 2016 for her sire, FLATTER. Sent off at 3-1 odds, she trailed by as many as 12 lengths behind a lightning fast pace. Waiting patiently to make her move, the dark bay gained ground nearing the final turn, swung five wide, and overtook the leaders nearing the sixteenth pole to win by 1 1/2 lengths. She completed the 1 1/6 mile in 1:50.31.
