PIQUANT Gets First Stakes Win at Aqueduct

PIQUANT became his sire’s 54th career stakes winner with a three-length win in Aqueduct’s Peeping Tom S. Racing six furlongs in a field of 12 and breaking from the outside post, the son of ARCH swung six wide at the top of the stretch, took the lead inside the furlong pole and powered away for a convincing win. Bred by Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider out of Right Spice, by Salt Lake, PIQUANT was coming off a 3 1/2-length win here two weeks back. He now has seven wins to go along with his $368,085 in earnings.
