NORTHERN PASSION TAKES $150,000 FURY S.

NORTHERN PASSION notched her second stakes victory by taking the $150,000 Fury S., at seven furlongs on Woodbine’s all-weather track. The 3-year-old filly by FIRST SAMURAIrallied along the rail late in the turn, then took command at the top of the stretch and won with little urging by 1 3/4 lengths. At two, she took the one-mile Grade 3 Natalma S. on Woodbine’s turf course in her third career start. A $95,000 Claiborne Sales grad out of their 2010 Keeneland September consignment and a $220,000 OBS March 2-year-old purchase, races for John C. Oxley and is trained by Mark Casse. The Fury S. is a stepping-stone towards the June 3 Woodbine Oaks.
