New Sire PERFORMER now Available for Inspection at Claiborne Farm

A son of emerging sire of sires Speightstown, from a deep Phipps family which includes multiple sires and champions, PERFORMER is the latest Phipps-homebred to enter stud at Claiborne Farm.

Carrying on the Mr. Prospector sireline out of a blacktype mare by the great A.P. Indy, PERFORMER is half to graded stakes winner Breaking the Rules among his dam’s three progeny to race.

The famous Phipps family from which PERFORMER hails is that of champion Storm Flag Flying; plus undefeated champion, Hall of Fame-inductee, and Broodmare of the Year Personal Ensign. Other notable family that appears on his page are his third dam – Grade 1 winning-millionaire My Flag – who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winners Miner’s Mark, and Traditionally, and notable Grade 1-placed stallion Our Emblem who sired 2002 Kentucky Derby (G1) and Preakness (G1) winner War Emblem. A multiple graded stakes winner himself who finished 100% in the money, PERFORMER was undefeated during his sophomore campaign culminating in a victory in the Discovery Stakes (G3) earning a 102 Beyer. After nearly a year hiatus, PERFORMER came back a winner, running a 1:33.93 mile on the dirt at Belmont Park, and was placed in the Cigar Mile H. (G1). PERFORMER added another graded stakes victory in the Fred Hooper (G3) during his 5-year-old campaign, and also placed in the Gulfstream Park Mile (G2).

In all, PERFORMER won six of his nine starts, and never finished out of the money.

For inspection, call Bernie Sams for an appointment to view him at Claiborne Farm: (859) 987-2330
