Making her first start in 12 months, NATIVE BOMBSHELL became WAR FRONT’s 19th Graded stakes winner after taking the Ontario Fashion S.-G3. Racing six furlongs on the all-weather surface at Woodbine, the 4-year-old filly settled in midpack early on no more than five lengths off the lead. She moved up along the rail on the turn, then swung out for the drive home after being trapped behind horses and closed down the lane to get to the wire first by a neck. In NATIVE BOMBSHELL’s final start of 2013, she again rallied down the stretch to win Woodbine’s 6 1/2-furlong Ruling Angel S. She has two other scores, both in wire-to-wire fashion around two turns, giving her four wins in six career starts – an off-the-turf 1 1/16-mile Maiden Special Weight tally at Gulfstream Park by 3 1/4 lengths and a 1 1/16-mile turf allowance at Aqueduct by three lengths.
