Hip 177, Renee’s Titan, a 4-year-old by Bernstein out of Titan Queen, by Tiznow, won last year’s G2 Santa Ynez S. and was campaigned by Zillah Reddam and trainer Doug O’Neill. Thirteen hips later, Shadai Farm went to $525,000 for another mare in foal toORB. Hip 190, Seaneen Girl, a GSW by Sprint At Last out of Afternoon Krystal, by Afternoon Deelites, won the Golden Rod S.-G2 and Monmouth Oaks-G3 and was campaigned by Naveed Chowhan and trained by Bernard Flint. At the end of the first day, ORB led all first year covering sires with an average of $360,000 and was overall the second leading covering sire grossing $2,520,000.
