LEA a Close Runner-Up in G1 Stephen Foster

Making his first start since placing in the G1 Dubai World Cup March 28th, LEA put in valiant effort to be runner-up, beaten just a neck, in the Stephen Foster H.-G1. Racing in fourth for the first half mile, the son of FIRST SAMURAI began to pick up the pace around the far turn. He continued his rally into the lane and closed the gap on the leader to make it a close finish. In 2015, LEA started the season off with a win in the Hal’s Hope S.-G3, then finished runner-up in the G1 Donn H., beaten less than a length. Last year, he won the Hal’s Hope S.-G3 and then set a new track winning the Donn H.-G1 in which he ran a 114 Beyer Figure. Career wise, the Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider homebred has a record of seven wins, four seconds and three thirds in 16 starts and earned $1,996,618.
