JACK MILTON Pulls Away in Belmont’s Poker S.-G3

After a three-length win at Churchill to kick off his 2014 campaign, JACK MILTON’s second start ended with an impressive victory in the $300,000 Poker S.-G3. The 4-year-old colt byWAR FRONT bided his time near the back for the first 1/2 mile of this one mile turf event. Picking up the pace in a hurry on the turn, JACK MILTON grabbed the lead with a furlong to go and won going away by 2 3/4 lengths. The final time for the mile was a speedy 1:33, registering a 104 Beyer. In 2013, JACK MILTON won Keeneland’s G3 Transylvania S. in just his third career start, and also placed in the G1 Secretariat S. and G1 Jamaica H. Now with career earnings of $505,900, JACK MILTON was bred by Cherry Valley Farm and was raised at Claiborne Farm.
