GSW CARVE Earns 106 Beyer in Fifth Season S. Win

CARVE won his first start of this new season taking Oaklawn Park’s 1 1/16-mile Fifth Season S. by an impressive 3 1/2 lengths. Stalking the leader in second no more than two lengths back, the son of FIRST SAMURAI ranged up to take the lead with about a furlong to go and then drew away in a strong effort. CARVE earned a 106 Beyer in this note-worthy performance. Last season he won the $300,000 Grade 3 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker H. and the $200,000 West Virginia Governor’s S. CARVE has also placed in the Arkansas Derby-G1, Oaklawn H.-G2, Oklahoma Derby-G3, etc. Bred by Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider out of the A.P. Indy mare Apt, CARVE, who races for Michael Langford and is trained by Brad Cox, has earned $772,415.
