GRAND ARCH Rallies to Win Saratoga’s Fourstardave-G2

Winner of Woodbine’s G2 King Edward S. last year, GRAND ARCH took down another Graded stakes winning the $500,000 Fourstardave H.-G2 by a neck at Saratoga. Going a mile on the inner turf, the new Millionaire son of ARCH tracked the pace in third only 1 1/2 lengths back for the first half mile. He began his rally near the top of the stretch, took the lead with a furlong to go, put away the front runner and then dug in to hold off a late-charging group to get the win, earning a 102 Beyer. GRAND ARCH has now won or placed in seven Graded stakes, including a runner-up finish, beaten only a length to Horse of the Year Wise Dan, in Keeneland’s Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile S. The Brian Lynch trainee races for Jim and Susan Hill.
