FLATTER Gets Two Stakes Winners Saturday, including a New 2YO

FLATTER had three stakes horses this past Saturday, including a 2-year-old filly that is now undefeated in two starts. STOWESHOE defeated males when she won the Henry Mercer Memorial S. by 2 1/4 lengths at Charles Town. The 10th stakes winner this year for FLATTER was coming out of a 4 1/4-length Maiden Special Weight score here in late August. Also on Saturday, NEEDMORE FLATTERY won her 13 career stakes and now has career earnings of $568,370 after taking the Scarlet and Gray H at Thistledown. The 4-year-old filly has won stakes on dirt and turf, won four consecutive stakes as a 2-year-old and won six additional stakes last year. The Bruce Ryan & Blazing Meadows Farm homebred has won at distances from 5 1/2 furlongs to 1 1/8 miles and has won or placed in 20 of 25 starts. And FLATTERING BEA now has earnings of $418,024 after placing in the Pink Ribbon S. at Charles Town. The multiple stakes-winning mare has won or placed in eight stakes and was coming out of a five-length handicap victory here in late August.
