FLATTER Gets Two New 2014 Stakes Winners over Weekend

On Saturday, DISCO RHYTHM drew clear in the stretch to win Monmouth Park’s 1 1/16-mile Charles Hesse III H. by two lengths. This was the son of FLATTER’s first stakes win in only his second try at this level. Bred by Spring Run Farm, LLC out of the Sulty Song mare, Rhythm and Que’s, DISCO RHYTHM has now won three of his last four starts and has career earnings of $236,090.

 

On Sunday, SILVER TONGUED put in a long determined drive and drove past the leader late to earn a 1/2-length win the 1 1/4-mile Governor’s Buckeye Cup S. at Thistledown. The 4-year-old son of FLATTER has won or placed in all seven starts this year. Bred by James A. Fraser & Janet N. Fraser out of the More Than Ready mare, Whitelacenpromises, SILVER TONGUEDnow has won stakes in each of the last three years.
