During the one mile turf race NORTHERN PASSION settled on the inside just off the pacesetters. Into the stretch the filly drove clear to take the victory in what was her third start. A $220,000 2-year-old, NORTHERN PASSION was a debut winner in early July before placing in the Ontario Debutante S. in August. She is the third graded stakes winner for sophomore sire FIRST SAMURAI, whose best runners include G2 winner JUSTIN PHILLIP. The filly was bred in Ontario by Mel P. Lawson.
