On the second day of the two-session Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, a filly by FIRST SAMURAI brought a final bid of $475,000, the highest price of the day. Hip 366, a March 17th foal out of the stakes-winning, graded-placed Superduper Miss, by Robyn Dancer, was purchased by Tom Durant. Bred in Kentucky by Debby Oxley, the filly worked :10 1/5, second fastest time of the Preview session. Barry Eisaman, who consigned the standout filly as agent to the sale stated “she is a very, very nice filly. She has so many qualities that everyone is looking for in a prime racing prospect; great mind, great soundness, great vet work, tremendous speed and class.” Overall, hip 366 was the third highest priced filly to sell and fifth highest juvenile.
