First Crop 2YOs by TRAPPE SHOT Win Maiden Special Weights Coast to Coast

KALABAKA had to go widest of all on the turn, challenged for the lead heading into the stretch, and eventually pulled away for a 2 3/4-length win going six furlongs at Aqueduct on 12/27. She had finished runner-up in her other three career starts. KALABAKA is a homebred for Nick and Theresa Mamatas and is out of Athena Ballerina, by Lion Heart.

ASIAN’S WAY made her debut a winning one powering to a 5 3/4-length score going 5 1/2 furlongs at Santa Anita on 12/26. She went three wide heading for home and then quickly drew clear to win under a hand ride. ASIAN’S WAY was bred by Old School Stable LLC out of the Proud Citizen mare, Dblsecretprobation.

ONE MORE SHOT also won at first asking demolishing his field to win by eight lengths going a mile and 40 yards at Tampa Bay Downs on 12/23. The 2-year-old colt raced no more than a few lengths off the front, swung three wide into the lane to battle for the lead, then drew off impressively through the stretch. He was bred by James F. Miller out of Orion’s Daughter, by Tactical Cat.
