Economic Model (Flatter) scores in Easy Goer Stakes

Economic Model, a three-year-old son of top sire FLATTER, came from behind, rode the rail, and closed strong to win the $150,000 Easy Goer Stakes at Belmont by 1 1/2 lengths on June 11.

It was an impressive win amongst a strong field that included Rebel Stakes (G2) winner CUPID, who entered the gate as the favorite.

Economic Model has won two in a row with 3 wins and 1 second from 5 starts. His runner-up effort came in the G2 Swale Stakes earlier this year.

The Claiborne-bred colt, raced by Klaravich Stables & William H. Lawrence, has now bank rolled nearly $225,000.

This is the 6th stakes winner of the year for Flatter, who is represented by 4 Graded Stakes winners in 2016 (Upstart, Taris, Kobe’s Back, Ami’s Flatter).
