After a bumping incident at the break, CASUAL ELEGANCE recovered to nearly wire the field placing in the six-furlong Xtra Heat S. at Aqueduct. The daughter of FIRST SAMURAI took the lead soon after the break, responded when challenged at the top of the stretch and battled to the finish getting collared with less than 100 yards to the wire. CASUAL ELEGANCE became her sire’s 38th lifetime stakes horse and was coming off a three-length win here in February.
