Belgrano Adds Another Stakes Victory for WAR FRONT

Belgrano got up at the wire to win the Virgil Buddy Raines Stakes at Monmouth Park, outfinishing multiple stakes winner The Critical Way. He became WAR FRONT’s 95th stakes winner lifetime and 12th this year.

The son of WAR FRONT went five and one half furlongs on the good turf in a final time of 1:04.28 for trainer Frank Russo and owner Peace Sign Stables.

Bred in Kentucky by Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings LLC, Belgrano is out of the two-time Grade 1-winning mare Ask The Moon (Malibu Moon).
