Unraced since August of last year, POMOLOGY showed her readiness for the seasonal debut taking the Bet365 Lancashire Oaks-G2 at Haydock by 2 1/4 lengths. Undefeated in three starts going into this race, the 4-year-old filly by ARCH settled behind the leaders in this 1 1/2-mile event. Moving up in the straightaway, POMOLOGY caught the leaders with a little more than a furlong to go and drew clear to the wire. In her stakes debut and last start of 2013, she won Deauville’s Prix Minerve-G3. A $250,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Sales graduate,POMOLOGY is out of the stakes-winning mare, Sharp Apple, by Diesis (GB), and was bred in Kentucky by Dr. John A. Chandler. She races for HRH Princess Haya of Jordan and is trained by John Gosden.
