Another 2yo Winner for Trappe Shot

Claiborne Farm’s TRAPPE SHOT, the leading son at stud for champion sire Tapit, recorded his 16th juvenile winner Aug 18 with a dominating 4-length score by MIRAI at Saratoga.

It was the first start for the 2yo colt out of That’s Ok (by Not For Love). Purchased for $280,000 at the OBS March Sale, she is a full-sister to stakes winner and Grade 1 stakes-placed Forever Partners.

Bred in NY by Eaton & Thorne Inc., MIRAI is trained by Chad Brown and owned by Robert V LaPenta & Madaket Stables.

Trappe Shot, who entered stud in 2011 has 40 winners from 78 starters and 5 stakes horses lead by FISH TRAPPE ROAD (winner of the G3 Dwyer and 2nd in the G2 Woody Stephens); MY MAN SAM (TDN Rising Star, 2nd G1 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes) and QUICK RELEASE (3rd G3 Miss Preakness Stakes, 2nd Coronation Cup).
