ALGORITHMS’ Hypothesis Adds Third Stakes Win to Resume in It’s Only Money

ALGORITHMS’ Hypothesis added a third stakes victory to his resume at Charles Town with a victory in the It’s Only Money Stakes after finishing third in the race last year.

The 4 ½ furlong dirt race saw Hypothesis enter a three-way duel for the lead as they sped around the Charles Town oval. One of his rivals opened up half a length before they turned into the stretch but Hypothesis quickly made up the distance and had his neck in front in the closing stages.

That former leader wasn’t the danger in the shadow of the wire, however, with a late running Sagebrush held off by a nose for the victory.

Bred by Francis Daniel III and owned by Jill Daniel, the 4-year-old took his earnings over $231,000 with the victory. The Crystal Pickett trainee has proved to be extremely consistent for his value sire as the winner of seven of his 17 races with six other on-the-board finishes.

Hypothesis is out of a half-sister to two stakes performers with her own dam a half-sister to two stakes performers as well. That mare, Holly’s Promise sees multiple half-sisters producing stakes winners and performers with those under Hypothesis’s third dam including stakes winner and Grade 2-placed Tell a Great Story and Grade 2-placed Southampton Way.
