3-Year-Old Saturday Triple for FLATTER

It was another promising maiden winner for FLATTER on Saturday when Aggregation ran away from the field in an Aqueduct Maiden Special Weight going seven furlongs on the dirt.

A Klaravich Stables runner trained by Chad Brown, he was hustled out of the gate by Manny Franco to race among the top three runners with the other open lengths behind them.

The leader tried to get away from the field as they entered the turn but Aggregation was on the hunt.

As they turned into the stretch, Aggregation slid through a hole inside the leader and the race was all but over from there. Franco asked the colt for more before putting the whip away in the final sixteenth as Aggregation continued to pull away to a 6 ½ length win in the end.

A few hours later, FLATTER’s Best Actor won an Oaklawn Park Maiden Special Weight on debut. That 3-year-old took the field gate to wire for Gary and Mary West in the 1 1/16 mile dirt race.

A $330,000 yearling purchase by Ben Glass, Best Actor is trained by Brad Cox and put in a bullet work at Oaklawn two works ago.

FLATTER’s 3-year-old crop success on Saturday was concluded by Search Engine winning his second race in a row. A full brother to Grade 1 winner Search Results, Search Engine has won both of his 2022 starts for MyRacehorse and Greg Tramontin.

The Tom Amoss-trained colt was a $625,000 2-year-old purchase at last year’s OBS Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds by his racing owners.

FLATTER has six stakes performers in 2022, including Grade 3 winner Plainsman.
