It was a second winner in two days for WAR OF WILL when War of Destiny led home a WAR OF WILL exacta with War to Remember a close second at Woodbine.
Making his second start in the six furlong synthetic race, War of Destiny closely attended the leader with War to Remember just ahead of him pushing the leader every step of the way. Edging closer to the top two at the quarter pole, he had to work hard to keep up with the second-place finisher when War To Remember bolted away from his previous rival.
War of Destiny needed the whole stretch to wear down the leader, but had a head in front at the line with the rest of the field over five lengths behind the two WAR OF WILL runners.
Both are trained by Mark Casse with War of Destiny owned solely by Gary Barber and Barber joined by Pantofel Stable in War to Remember’s ownership.
Bred by Wind Hill Farm in Florida and bought for $135,000 as a short yearling at Keeneland January, War of Destiny is a half-sister to the multiple graded stakes placed Dream Marie. Their dam Lin Marie is out of the stakes winning Coy Cat with that mare also the dam of two stakes performers.
There are stakes performers throughout this page with each of the four dams listed on War of Destiny’s page producing at least one stakes performer.
War of Destiny is the 13th winner for WAR OF WILL, who has registered winners in three different countries.
