FIRST SAMURAI sired his second winner when 2-year-old filly LE MI GEAUX proved much the best in the 8th race at Churchill Downs, a five and one-half furlong maiden special weight over the fast main track.
Making her second career start, LE MI GEAUX dashed out of the gate and she was engaged in a battle for the lead that continued around the turn and into the stretch. LE MI GEAUX put her rival away and opened up impressively through the final furlong to win by more than seven lengths.
