WAR FRONT’s HIT IT A BOMB Closes from Last to Take G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf

HIT IT A BOMB became WAR FRONT’s second Grade 1-winning 2-year-old and fourth overall G1 winner in 2015 after rallying from far back to take the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf-G1 by a neck. The now undefeated colt from three starts broke from the outside post in a 14-horse field and raced between rivals into the far turn under jockey Ryan Moore. HIT IT A BOMB began his rally four wide heading into the stretch, split rivals at the top of the lane, then shifted out for the run home and got to the wire first in a three-horse blanket finish. In his first two starts, HIT IT A BOMB broke his maiden on the turf at the Curragh, then was a 4 1/2-length winner of the seven-furlong Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Star Appeal S. on the all-weather surface at Dundalk. The Mrs. E. M. Stockwell homebred is out of GSW Liscanna (IRE), by Sadler’s Wells and is trained by Aidan O’Brien.
