It was another successful two-winner weekend for DEMARCHELIER (GB) after Tropandhagen won a Monmouth Park Maiden Special Weight on debut.
The juvenile quickly put pressure on the leader in the one-mile turf race before entering a full out duel for much of the race. After seven furlongs, the leading El Alacran finally gave in and Tropandhagen was left on his own.
The DEMARCHELIER (GB) colt made easy work of the race from there, pulling away to win by four lengths for owner Peter Kazamias and trainer Dimitrio Synnefias.
Tropandhagen was bred by Hermitage Farm out of the four-time winner All Day Lawn. That mare is also a half-sister to the stakes winning Evaluator with the extended family including dual Grade 1 winner Fowda.
DEMARCHELIER (GB) now sits at five winners from his first crop, putting him 10th among all North American first crop sires with fewer runners than all but one stallion in front of him.
