The first CATHOLIC BOY to go through the ring at the sale is Hip 63 from Ordonez Thoroughbreds. The filly is the second racing aged foal out of six-time winning Bajan Beach, whose first foal is a winner. Bred by Barry Ostrager in New York, the filly is out of a half-sister to the dam of Grade 3 winner and Grade 2-placed Fahan Mura and stakes placed Scottish Symphony.

The page also includes Broodmare of the Year Sweet Life, who is the dam of Grade 1 winners Sweet Catomine and Life Is Sweet. That’s not all the impressive form on the page with Grade 1 winner Pirate’s Revenge, Grade 2 winner Modernist, and Grade 2 placed Strive named as well.

This cross is similar to stakes winners Black Stetson and Elevenses among four stakes performers by CATHOLIC BOY’s sire More Than Ready’s out of Speightstown daughters.

Consigned by Randy Miles, Hip 113 is a half-brother to multiple stakes winner and Grade 2-placed Merveilleux. The pair are out of the winning Holy Bull mare Breech Inlet. Bred in Ontario by Mike Carroll and sold at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale for $85,000, the colt is a great-grandson of multiple Grade 1 winning By Land By Sea.

Breech Inlet is a half-sister to Arch’s Grade 2 winner Bauble Queen and stakes winner Leamington with Bauble Queen also producing WAR FRONT’s multiple Grade 3 winner Blitzkrieg. This colt is bred on the same cross as More Than Ready’s stakes winner and multiple Grade 3 placed Ready to Confess.

Bred by Pat Madden, Hip 159 consigned by Harris Training Center is a half-sister to three stakes performers. Out of the stakes winning Champagne Taste, the chestnut’s siblings include BLAME’s Grade 3 winner Miss Kentucky, Flatter’s Grade 1 placed Pass The Champagne, and Pulpit’s stakes placed Los Borrachos.

Champagne Taste herself is a half-sister to multiple Grade 2 placed Miss Mittagong and four stakes producers out of Grade 2 winner Go Go.

The SF Bloodstock-bred colt is a half-brother to multiple Grade 3 winner and Grade 2 placed My Boy Jack and four other winners from six to race with his dam’s 3-year-old My Sweet Summer winning after the catalog was released.

This colt’s granddam is Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Gold N Delicious, whose foals other than Precious Kiss include Grade 3 placed Cat Alert and stakes performers Soldier of Fame and Doneraile Gold.

Top Line Sales consigns Hip 433, a three-quarter brother to stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Winning Envelope. A $100,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase bred by Ron Stolich and BRS, the colt is a sibling to three winners from three to race out of the winning Badge of Silver mare Granby Girl. Granby Girl is a half-sister to stakes winners Dream Lady and Zeta. Both of those mares are Grade 1 producers with Dream Lady producing Grade 1 winner Room Service and Zeta producing Grade 1 winner Zapata.

Dream Lady’s three stakes winners also include More Than Ready’s Grade 3 winner Major Gain – making that horse closely related to this offering.

Hip 831 is a three-quarter brother to multiple stakes placed On The Town and out of a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Warning Zone. Consigned by breeder Kinsman Farm, the colt’s dam was a winner herself and one of three stakes producers out of stakes winner Migrate. The mare is a half-sister to stakes winner Extend and to Chilean Broodmare of the Year Weekend Leave – who produced Grade 1 winner We Can Seek.

Eisaman Equine’s Hip 1031’s page full of blacktype got even fuller on April 1 when Sacred Wish finished second in the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) one start after breaking her maiden.

A half-sister to three winners from three to race, the filly’s page also includes Grade 1 winners Bowies Hero and Sharp Azteca in addition to Grade 3 winner and Kentucky Derby (G1) second Firing Line.
