That Frankel (GB) son is offered as Hip 351 as the third foal out of multiple graded stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Mrs. McDougal. That mare is one of two stakes performers out of another multiple stakes winner in Distorted Passion. The family also includes Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Warbling. In all, his first three dams have won stakes races and all four named on the page other than Mrs. McDougal have also produced stakes winners.

Frankel (GB) is the sire of seven Group 1 winners – the best of any Northern Hemisphere sire – and 43 stakes performers in 2022 alone with his numbers better than even his illustrious sire Galileo (Ire).

The day before, the first Claiborne offering through the ring is a Street Sense half-brother to multiple graded stakes winner Soothsay as Hip 56. Soothsay is one of two winners from two to race out of the Grade 2 winning Spellbound. That mare is a half-sister to the multiple graded stakes winner Kid Cruz and out of a half-sister to the Grade 1-placed granddam of Triple Crown winner Justify.

In all, his Grade 3 winning third dam Voodoo Lily is the matriarch of a family that has produced 13 stakes performers and six stakes winners. This colt also has multiple updates with his granddam’s 3-year-old daughter Three Witches winning in her debut in late July and his dam’s half-sister’s FLATTER 3-year-old colt winning in his second start on August 5.

Hip 67 is an Uncle Mo filly out of Sweet, a full sister to BLAME’s Grade 1 winner Fault. Fault is just one of three stakes performers out of stakes winner Charming N Lovable alongside the Grade 3-placed Betweenhereandcool and stakes-placed Congenial. Another one of Sweet’s half-sisters is the dam of Grade 1 winner and recent Monmouth Oaks (G3) third Juju’s Map. The extended family also includes Uncle Mo’s multiple Grade 1 winning Bast.

From the family of Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra comes Hip 233, consigned on behalf of Wild Aire Partners. The Medaglia d’Oro colt is out of Starlet Stakes (G1) placed Enaya Alrabb, who herself is also a half-sister to multiple Grade 3-placed Hattaash. Their stakes winning dam Lotta Rhythm is a half-sister to stakes winner High Blues and the stakes winning Lotta Kim. In addition to Rachel Alexandra, Lotta Kim has also produced Grade 2-placed Gladys, Grade 3-placed Dolphus, and stakes-placed Wooderson.

Claiborne has another Medaglia d’Oro colt in Hip 355 out of the winning Distorted Humor mare Naples Princess. Naples Princess is also a full sister to stakes winner Banker’s Buy and half-sister to stakes winners City Dweller and Glacken’s Gal. Glacken’s Gal herself has produced Grade 2 winner Live Lively and the dam of champion Mitole and Grade 1 winner Hot Rod Charlie.

Out of a full sister to Grade 1 winner Force The Pass is Hip 361, a Gun Runner filly. She is the second foal out of No More Parties, who herself is a daughter of multiple Grade 3 winner Social Queen. There are more stakes performers under her stakes winning third dam Gal On The Go on the multiple stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Wonder Gal and the multiple graded stakes performing Nakamura.

The dam of seven winners, Pulpit’s full sister Orate is also the dam of Hip 368 – a colt by Quality Road. Orate is the dam of stakes winners and Grade 1-placed Endless Chatter and Whitecliffsofdover with FIRST SAMURAI’s daughter Endless Chatter’s performances coming on the dirt and WAR FRONT’s son Whitecliffsofdover earning his on the turf.

Orate is out of the Grade 1 winning Preach, who produced two other stakes performers in addition to the Grade 2 winning Pulpit. Preach is also the granddam of Grade 3 winner Wild Shot and stakes winners Dream Nettie and Nunnery.

All of Claiborne’s Book 1 offerings can be inspected at Barn 6 in the days before the sale starts on September 12 at 1pm ET.
