The first through the ring for DEMARCHELIER (GB) is Hip 1981 from Winter Quarter Farm. That filly is not only a half-sister to the Grade 3 winning Quiet Force but also out of Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed Quiet Royal, who is a full sister to Group 3 winner and Group 3 producer Acago. Another of Quiet Royal’s half-siblings is the Group 3-winning Sandwaki.
This is also the family of American Grade 1 winners Dare and Go and Go Deputy – both half-siblings to the filly’s granddam.
Claiborne consigns Hip 2871 out of the BLAME mare Spank, who also has a winner by MASTERY. A winner herself, Spank is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Just Jenda, who produced stakes winners Jenda’s Agenda and Miss Alacrity. Miss Alacrity also earned a second in a Saratoga Allowance Optional Claimer in early August.
Hip 2871’s third dam is the stakes winning Fulbright Scholar. That mare produced the very successful Grade 2 winner Seeking Regina, whose descendants include Grade 1 winners Sahara Sky, Nyquist, and more.
Hip 2961 from Dixiana Farms is a granddaughter of the Group 1 winning La Belga, who herself is a daughter of Group 1 winner La Baraca and granddam of champion Balada Sale. Bred 3 x 3 to Sadler’s Wells, this filly is out of the winning Galileo (Ire) mare Belle de Nuit.
DEMARCHELIER’s (GB) sire Dubawi (Ire) has crossed successfully with Galileo (Ire) – he has 16 stakes performers and six group winners from 74 runners, led by his successful sire son and Group 1 winner Night of Thunder and four-time Group 1 winner Ghaiyyath. From limited numbers, his sons have also crossed well with Galileo (Ire) mares, led by Group 2 winner Expat and Group 3-placed Near Poet by two different Dubawi (Ire) sons.
Hunter Valley Farm’s Hip 3691 is out of the stakes-placed mare Aesculus, who is the dam of six winners from six to race. The mare is one of two stakes performers out of the stakes winning Crafty Buzz with her Group 3-winning half-brother Plantagenet a Spanish champion who won in multiple countries. Half-sister Arcangela is the dam of the stakes winning Lyzbeth with leading sire Upstart under this colt’s third dam.
Consigned by Gainesway as agent for Walmac Farm, Hip 3771 is the third foal out of the Cape Cross (Ire) mare German Edition (GB). That mare out of the Group 3 winning Goathemala – who is by Galileo’s (Ire) full brother Black Sam Bellamy (Ire) – is also a half-sister to Dubawi’s (Ire) stakes winning Wolf Country and two other stakes performers from five winners out of her dam. Goathemala is also one of three stakes winners out of her own stakes-placed dam Global World who saw a placed daughter produce Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed Patrick Sarsfield.
The Keeneland September Sale kicks off on September 12 with DEMARCHELIER’s (GB) first offering going through the ring during the seventh session.
