After seeing his yearlings sell for up to $275,000 at Keeneland September, ANNAPOLIS is back with eight yearlings at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings sale on October 19 – 22.
Those set to go through the ring include two yearlings with stakes winning siblings, three with stakes winning dams, and four with Grade 1 winners on the page.
His very first through the ring is an exciting offering in the Cody Chambless-offered Hip 163 on Monday.
The colt bred by John Gunther, who bred ANNAPOLIS’s dam My Miss Sophia, has gotten a huge update since he sold as a weanling last year. The colt’s juvenile half-brother won a Royal Ascot stakes with dam Sing Me Home having two winners from two to race. Nola Soul was also a close fourth in a Group 2 in August.
Sing Me Home is a half-sister to the stakes placed Favorite Memory and out of a daughter of Marozia. Marozia produced Grade 1 winner Stay Thirsty, Grade 3 winner and Grade 1 placed Andromeda’s Hero, stakes winner and Grade 1-placed Superfly, and the dam of Grade 1 winners Without Parole and Tamarkuz in addition to the stakes winner and Grade 1 second Rebel Red.
Hip 311 offered by Four Star Sales is a half-brother to the stakes winning Malleymoo.
Malleymoo leads the way for Lonhro mare Tangaroo, who has five winners overall from six to race with a Cairo Prince 2-year-old to come. Tangaroo is a half-sister to the stakes placed Anna Sophia and to the dam of the Grade 1-placed Identity Politics with Tangaroo’s stakes placed dam producing two winners overall.
There are 10 stakes performers under this colt’s third dam, led by Group 1 winner Zoutori with his Group 1 winning fourth dam the champion Park Express, whose foals include dual champion New Approach and Group 3 winner Dazzling Park.
Taylor Made is the consignor of Hip 972, a February-born ANNAPOLIS filly.
Bred by Healthy Wood Co. in Kentucky, the filly is the second foal out of the stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Flower Point, that mare a half-sister to stakes winner Catman. Flower Point’s multiple stakes placed dam Fab Flowers is out of the Dixieland Band mare J. D. Flowers, who produced eight winners overall led by three-time Grade 1 winner Exotic Flowers and stakes winner J. D. and Water. There are seven stakes performers under Exotic Wood’s name, including four stakes winners while J. D. and Water has four stakes performers under her own name.
In all, this filly’s page includes 18 stakes performers, led by 10 stakes winners.
Named Commander Evans and offered by Paramount Sales, Hip 1563 comes into the sale with a big page behind him.
Bred by Michael Clayton Kelly, he is the second foal out of the Noble Mission mare Perfect Spring. A half-sister to seven winners out of the stakes winning Our Rite of Spring, Perfect Spring’s siblings include Rare Event and Anna Pavlova. Rare Event was a four-time winner who really shined in the breeding shed as the dam of champion Improbable while Anna Pavlova was a winner and the dam of the 2026 Cleopatra Handicap runner-up Faye’s Gold – who earned a second stakes placing just over a month before the sale when third in the Lucky Lantern S. at Kentucky Downs.
Our Rite of Spring is one of two stakes winners and three stakes performers out of Turkish Tryst, whose crowning runner was Grade 1 winner and successful sire Hard Spun. Producing five winners from five to race, Turkish Tryst is out of a half-sister to champion Little Current and Grade 1 winner Prayers’n Promises among others. Each of the four Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearlings sale sessions start at 10am. All of ANNAPOLIS’s cataloged offerings can be found here.
