Sheza Happy Girl Vaults RUNHAPPY to Second-Crop Lead

RUNHAPPY took his 2021 winner count to nine on Thursday – the most of any second crop sire this year – when Sheza Happy Girl broke her maiden by 3 ¼ lengths at Gulfstream Park.

RUNHAPPY’s second maiden winner in less than 24 hours, Sheza Happy Girl was rated by Victor Lebron a few lengths behind the dueling leaders early in the six furlong dirt race. Racing on the rail for much of the race, Sheza Happy Girl angled to the outside of the leaders as they straightened into the stretch. The leaders had nothing left for the filly as she raced on by in the final furlongs to become Runhappy’s 17th winner.

Trained by Amzadali Jehaludi for Ryan Racing, Sheza Happy Girl has hit the board five times in seven starts.

The filly was bred in Kentucky by Austin and Brenda Paul and is the first foal out of stakes winner Season Ticket. Season Ticket is also a full sister to Canadian classic winner Belichick and a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Broken Game among five runners out of their dam. They hail from the family of Grade 1 winners Dancers Countess, Floriot, and Naringang among others.

Season Ticket has a yearling colt by FLATTER and visited dual-surface Grade 1 winner CATHOLIC BOY in 2020.
