Son of IRONICUS Romps in Debut

Helium, a two-year-old son of Claiborne’s IRONICUS, emerged victorious in his first career start on September 27th at Woodbine for trainer Mark Casse and owner D.J. Stable LLC.

Going seven furlongs on the all-weather track with Emma-Jayne Wilson in the irons, Helium (IRONICUS) repelled a challenge by ORB’s Excellorator in the upper stretch, and held safe to the end. The colt crossed the wire over three lengths ahead in a final time of 1:23.45.

Bred in Kentucky by Teneri Farm Inc. and Bernardo Alvarez Calderon, Helium is out of Thundering Emilia (Thunder Gulch), making him a half-sibling to Grade 1 winner in Peru Emilia’s Moon, TDN Rising Star and graded-stakes-placed Mighty Scarlett, and King Daddy, a two-year-old stakes winner in Peru.
