CLASSIC POINT has now won three straight, all stakes, including back-to-back graded races after taking Gulfstream Park’s seven-furlong Inside Information S.-G2 by a neck. The daughter of FLATTER was making her first start since winning the $300,000 Go For Wand S.-G3 going a mile at Aqueduct on November 28. The Joseph V. Shields Jr. homebred won the $100,000 Punkin Pie S. by 6 1/4 lengths just prior to her Go For Wand victory. CLASSIC POINT also was runner-up, beaten just a neck by eventual G1 SW Dance to Bristol, in Saratoga’s Honorable Miss H.-G2 in 2013 and now has eight wins and earnings of $670,794. She was previously trained by the late Hall of Famer Allen Jerkens, but was making her fourth start for his son Jimmy Jerkens.
