Libertyrun First Winner for RUNHAPPY

It was an impressive victory in debut for Libertyrun, the first winner for his freshman sire. The bay son of RUNHAPPY, conditioned by Laura Wohlers for Jim McIngvale, stalked the pace in the 5 1/2 furlong maiden special weight at Indiana Grand, and drew away down the stretch to an eye-popping 6 1/4 length victory.

The juvenile by Eclipse Champion Sprinter RUNHAPPY was bred by his owner Jim McIngvale out of the Came Home mare Slew’s Return, from the family of Eclipse Champion Sprinter Points Offthebench.

Runhappy was the second-leading freshman sales sire of yearlings in 2019, and his first 2-year-olds have sold up to $475,000 in 2020.
