It was a big few days for WAR FRONT juveniles when Ganaas’s four length debut victory on Thursday was followed up with Two Out Hero earning Thoroughbred Daily News ‘Rising Star’ honors in his debut at Woodbine on Sunday.
The six-furlong race moving from turf to synthetic didn’t bother the first-time starter, who immediately went to the front. He was happy to be there with a few horses close behind to keep him honest through the early stages.
But by the time they hit mid-turn, Two Out Hero started expanding his lead. Jockey Rafael Hernandez never asked the colt in the stretch with Two Out Hero romping to a 12-length victory.
Kevin Attard trains the impressive juvenile for Gold Square after Chad Summer bought the colt for $240,000 from Terrazas Thoroughbreds last September.
Bred by Corser Thoroughbreds, Two Out Hero is the first foal out of multiple stakes placed Song River. That mare is a half-sister to the stakes placed Glean and out of the stakes-winning Harlan’s Honor. This is also the family of Grade 3 winner Fort Bragg.
War Front is now the sire of three juveniles winners from six starters in 2025.
