Juveniles by SILVER STATE were in high demand this week at the OBS Spring 2-Year-Olds In Training Sale, led by his :9.4 breezing colt out of Comic selling for $335,000.

Offered by Envision Equine, the colt purchased by JPM Bloodstock had caught the eye last week when putting down the fastest time during his breeze session. The colt is the first out of the winning Distorted Humor mare Comic, who is also a half-sister to the dam of the stakes placed Zadorsky.
This family is deep with Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Super Saver and Grade 1 winner Callback among those named on the page. In all, there are 10 stakes performers on the page with six winning stakes.
Wavertree Stables was the consignor of a $275,000 SILVER STATE colt purchased by FMQ Stables.

Sold during the second session, the colt is a half-brother to the Grade 1 winner Chocolate Gelato and out of winning Candy Ride mare Special Treat. A $250,000 yearling, this page has tons of class from top to bottom.
His third dam is the Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Daydreaming, who produced Grade 1 winner Imagining and two other stakes performers with two daughters also producing stakes horses.
Daydreaming is also a full sister to the Grade 1 winning Girolamo.
Cherry Valley Farm purchased SILVER STATE’s highest priced filly when going to $120,000 for the New York-bred Two Pearl Penny from Harris Training Center.
That filly is the first out of Super aver mare Crazy Mary, whose winning siblings include Grade 3 winner and multiple Grade 1 placed Dr Post and the stakes winning Nomoretanlines. The trio is out of Grade 2 winner Mary Delaney.
SILVER STATE had 12 juvenile sell overall with one of his 2-year-olds’ owners thinking so highly of them that the colt out of Coy Cat RNAed for $335,000 as well.
