$525,000 FIRST SAMURAI FILLY AT KEENELAND SEPTEMBER

The first yearling through the ring from the second crop of FIRST SAMURAI at the 2010 Keeneland September Yearling Sale was purchased for $525,000 by Chiefswood Stable.

Consigned by Woods Edge Farm (Peter O’Callaghan), Agent III, the chestnut filly was produced by the winning Seattle Slew mare, Aldebaran Light. She is a three-quarters sister Grade 1 winner Eskendereya and a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Balmont. This is also the family of Kentucky Derby winner Cannonade and leading sire Halo.
