$520,000 WAR FRONT 2YO Tops F-T Midlantic

At the two-day Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale in Timonium, Maryland, a colt by WAR FRONT brought a final bid of $520,000 from Steven W. Young, agent. The sales topper had worked a quick :10 2/5, the second fastest time for a furlong at that day’s under tack preview. Hip 274, out of Judy’s Magic, by Wavering Monarch, was consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, on behalf of his breeder Beau Lane. The juvenile’s three-quarter brother, byWAR FRONT out of a daughter of Judy’s Magic, sold for 1,150,000gns at last month’s Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, a new European Breeze-up sale record.

 

Also on day one, Steven W. Young, agent, went to $400,000 for another colt by WAR FRONT. Hip 14, out of Wildlife Festival, by Seeking the Gold, was bred in Kentucky by G. Watts Humphrey, Jr., and consigned by Hartley/de Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent. The juvenile worked a sharp :10 1/5, the fastest time for a furlong at that day’s under tack show.
