Making his seasonal debut and first try on turf, SOUPER COLOSSAL took control inside the final furlong to win Gulfstream Park’s five-furlong Texas Glitter S. by 1 1/2 lengths. Stalking the leaders only a couple of lengths back after breaking from post eight, the 3-year-old colt by WAR FRONT began to move up on the turn. As they hit the top of the stretch, SOUPER COLOSSAL had drawn even with the the leaders and then out finished a closer coming up the rail. This was his third stakes victory and fourth win in five starts. The $350,000 Saratoga Sales grad was a 5 1/2-length winner of the Sapling S. and also won the Tyro S. by 3 3/4 lengths.
