$280,000, $240,000 FIRST SAMURAI 2YOs at KEENELAND

Two fillies from the first crop of FIRST SAMURAI were purchased for $280,000 and $240,000 respectively at the Keeneland April 2010 Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale.

HIP 161 was purchased by Denali Stud, Agent for Jerry Frankel for $280,000 from the consignment of Eddie Woods, XVII, Agent. The dark bay was a half-sister to seven winners, including G2 winner and classic-placed Vision and Verse and two additional stakes performers. Produced by the graded stakes placed Private Account mare, Bunting, she is from the family of champion Ginger Brew, Hatchet Man and Stop The Music.

She previewed going a furlong in :10 2/5.

HIP 152 was purchased by Stonestreet Stables, LLC for $240,000 from the consignment of Niall Brennan Stables, Agent XIV. She is the second foal from the stakes winning Grand Slam mare, Beebe Lake. This is the family of G1 winners Only Queens, Tactile and the multiple classic-placed group stakes winner Contested Bid. She previewed going one furlong in :10.
