All three of Knox County Zip’s dams on the page have produced at least one stakes winner – including her third dam producing stakes winner and 12-time winner overall Never Wavering – with two of them also winning at least one stakes themselves.

Denali Stud offered Hip 106 is Moonlit Cove, a daughter of Grade 1 winner Star Billing. Carrying to SILVER STATE on a February 28 cover, her first foal is already a winner with the mare also having a coming 2-year-old filly by Nyquist and yearling by Tiz The Law.

Star Billing isn’t the only Grade 1 winner on the page with Moonlit Cove’s third dam producing Grade 1 winner Stellar Jayne and Starrer. In all, there are 15 stakes performers under Moonlit Cove’s first three dams with eight of them winning stakes races.

Carrying to SILVER STATE on a March 16 cover, Waltzingintherain goes through the ring as Hip 259 with Farfellow Farms.

An unraced daughter of Tizway, Waltzingintherain is a half-sister to stakes winner and Grade 3-placed Hashtag Bourbon, Grade 2-placed Wild Horses and stakes placed Waltzing With Blue. Their dam Waltzing With Deb produced 12 winners from 12 to race and is one of 10 stakes producers or performers on the page.

One of Waltzing With Deb’s half siblings is the multiple Grade 3 winner and Grade 1-placed Suave Prospect while a seven-time winning half-sister produced the multiple graded stakes winner Successful Appeal.

Grovendale Sales is the consignor of Jill’s Firebird, a Birdstone daughter going through the ring as Hip 486. The mare’s first foal – a juvenile named Ladan has placed twice in 2022. Jill’s Firebird is also a winning mare herself and a half-sister to the Grade 3 winner Kitten Kaboodle and Grade 1-placed Slam Dunk while another half-sister produced stakes placed New Love.

This family also includes Chilean Horse of the Year Ballistic and Grade 3 winner Gold Seam among the 14 stakes performers named on the page.

Stop and Stare is Hip 657 as part of the Warrendale Sales consignment at the Keeneland January Sale. The dam of one runner from one foal of racing age, Stop and Stare is a half-sister to the Grade 3 winning Five Star General among her dam’s two winners from four to race. That dam – the winning Bernardini mare Party of Interest – is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Criminologist, who is the dam of Grade 3 winner Inspector Lynley and two other stakes performers, and two other stakes performers.

Party of Interest’s half-sister Search and Seizure is also the dam of Grade 3 winners Tammy the Torpedo and Seek and Destroy.
