As of April 3rd, the farm has had 100 foals leaving 42 mares left to foal for the season! There have been 50 fillies and 50 colts. Last year this time, we had 104 foals on the ground and were waiting on 32 more mares to foal. All three of the mares we’ve been “foaling watching” this season are included in that number, as they have all delivered! Miss Tattle Tale’s newest filly arrived this week to round out our group.
Miss Tattle Tale
Last but certainly not least… Miss Tattle Tale foaled a bay filly on Tuesday, April 3rd at 7:12 AM. Our Farm Manager was on hand to catch her a video.
According to our Farm Manager, Bradley Purcell, the filly is doing everything right for her age. He also noted that she is bigger than last year’s foal out of Miss Tattle Tale.
Orate
Orate is 9 weeks old now. Bradley had this to say about her: “We’re very happy with the Orate foal. She is really nice – tall and leggy.”
Don’tforgetaboutme
Don’tforgetabout me is now 6 weeks old. Bradley says she is a fine filly. She’s a little lighter, but she’s expected to fill out with time.
