War Front Offspring Finish First and Third in G3 Jimmy Durante

War Front continued to add black-type to his resume late in the year when two of his offspring—Journey Home and With Honors—finished first and third respectively in the G3 Jimmy Durante Stakes at Del Mar.

Sam Son Farm’s Journey Home made an impressive late rally and sailed clear to win the race by 1 1/4 lengths.

Trained by Graham Motion, Journey Home broke her maiden in her debut Nov. 4 at Laurel Park, where she won a 1 1/16-mile grass race by a neck. Ridden by jockey Drayden Van Dyke in the Jimmy Durante, Journey Home completed the mile race in 1:38.24 on turf listed as firm.

S. Farish and Kilroy Thoroughbred Partnership bred Journey Home in Kentucky. Out of the G1-placed A.P. Indy mare Soul Search, the filly now has earnings of $82,800.

A homebred for LNJ Foxwoods, With Honors previously won the Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf Stakes Sept. 5 and finished second in the G1 Chandelier Stakes Oct 1. Out of the Street Cry mare All Her Class, she has earned $170,145 from five starts.

War Front, the #1 sire of 2-year-olds by wins, now has 25 juvenile winners from just 44 starters. In 2016, he is represented by 40 SH, 22 SW, 26 GSH, 11 GSW, 9 G1SH. His other 2016 graded stakes winners include Brave Anna, War Decree,
 Roly Poly and Intelligence Cross.
