FIRST SAMURAI’S SWIFT WARRIOR TAKES RUSHAWAY STAKES

SWIFT WARRIOR went wire-to-wire to win the $100,000 Rushaway S., giving FIRST SAMURAI his third stakes winner from his first crop. Allowed to set the pace through this 1 1/16-mile test, the 3-year-old colt opened up as many as four lengths at the top of the stretch and kept his rivals at bay to win by two lengths.

Third in the Tropical Park Derby and a maiden winner by nine lengths, SWIFT WARRIORwas bred in Kentucky by Paget Bloodstock, Nearctic Bloodtsock, & Carhue Investments, is owned by James Covello and James Dolan and is trained by John P. Terranova II.
